Liposuction can be performed on multiple sites of the body and involves the removal of fat from under the skin. During tumescent liposuction an anesthetic is injected into the area being treated. The tissue in the area swells and becomes more firm allowing for better control during the procedure. A liposuction canula (a hollow tube) is moved back and forth under the skin using suction to remove deposits of fat cells. This approach enables a better contouring of the area being treated, providing smoother results and a more contoured you.
